Playing games

”Throughout the world people play word games, invent or repeat riddles and jokes, solve puzzles, sing and chant, try to outdo each other in inventing praises and insults, and play games that involve rhymes and challenges and ritual recitations. Through this play with words, as well as through poetry and stories, people discover themselves as speakers and learn to develop their own personal voices.”
