1. "All love shifts and changes. I don't know if you can be wholeheartedly in love all the time."
2. “As the years passed, man became involved in technology and agriculture and industry. Of course it was natural to him to want to learn about his environment and the laws of nature, about the universe and how to get to the moon, and so on. But as he broadened the new part of his mind, so he closed down a beautiful and fascinating part of the old – the area of fantasy. The more knowledge man gained, the more self-conscious he became about believing in fanciful creatures. People began to think that such things as dragons, goblins and gremlins didn´t exist.”
3. "I didn't have a fairy godmother who waved some wand and instantly transformed me. It was a great deal of hard work."
4. "I have made some terrible mistakes in the past, but whether I have done wrong or right I've carried on."
5. "I just don't understand why it was me that got to be so lucky." she said. "Oh Mandy," Bill looked thoughtful. " I suppose luck does have something to do with it, but you're a very special little girl and I think you're strong and not afraid to go looking for your life." Mandy thought about that.”
6. "I screen movies on the smooth wall of the playroom if it's a good movie, on the brick of the living room if it's a bad movie."
7. " I still would like to contribute a great deal. There's a lot of life in the old girl yet."
8. " I strive to get what I want and people have said that I'm a monster in that department. But that's always said about us ladies who grasp for our own strength."
9. "I think my Englishness or something intimidates people."
10. "It is not enough to reach for the brass ring. You must also enjoy the merry go round."~
11. “Know that beyond every ordinary explanation there is a deeper and more exciting discovery to be made.”
12. “(…) “Nothing is impossible,” replied the professor. “In fact, I have a saying in my office: “Whatever man imagines is possible.” I´ve proved that hundreds of times in my work.” “Okay. Then how did you do it?” challenged Tom. “I had to go into training. I had to stimulate my mind to become aware and open to any possibility. I was like an astronaut preparing to go to the moon. Think how long they study before they begin their journey. That´s a perfect example of what I´m talking about.” The professor jabbed a finger at the children. “Two hundred years ago who would have believed it possible that man could get to the moon? It would have seemed just as fanciful as my saying today that I have been to Whangdoodleland. But man imagined going to the moon and now it´s a reality.””
13. “Nobody thinks to look.”
14. “Pax, Amor et Lepos in Iocando.”
15. "Perseverance is failing nineteen times and succeeding the twentieth."
16. "Singing has never been particularly easy for me."
17. "Some people regard discipline as a chore. For me, it is a kind of order that sets me free to fly."
18. "Sometimes I'm so sweet even I can't stand it."
19. “There aren´t many people in this world who really know how to look.”
20.“You know, the mind is a thing of extraordinary beauty. It has taken several million years for the human brain as we know it today to develop. Now all we have to do is to learn how to use it properly.”
