Before you see the brick wall there, you have to think it. It isn't that there is the brick wall out there -- that you see it and then you think it. It's the other way around. You think the world into existence and then you see it.
But you put it out there, just like in a dream you put the world out there and then you see it. And you start wondering how it all came to be. "Oh, I see, I see through my eyes," you say in the dream, "... and I smell with my nose." But the person who is having the dream says, "Nonsense. You neither see nor smell -- I am the one who sees and smells."
